The American Institute of architects (AIA) women’s leadership summit

We’re excited to have our team represented at the The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Women’s Leadership Summit! Kirstyn Bonneau recently attended this inspiring event in Atlanta, connecting with leaders across the architecture profession and sharing insights from our chapter’s wildfire response efforts.

• A walking tour of Sweet Auburn and the MLK Jr. Historic District — visiting the King Center, seeing the original SCLC printing press, and learning about efforts to revitalize the neighborhood without displacement.

• A reception at the Georgia Aquarium (what a backdrop for networking!).

• A workshop on behavioral health design, where we collaborated on ideas for a visiting room that supports healing and dignity.

• A powerful discussion on culturally responsive stakeholder engagement.

• Insights on how architects can leverage AI while staying rooted in what humans do best.

• Presenting about AIA Pasadena & Foothill’s response to the L.A. wildfires — proud to share our chapter’s work!

• Staying at the beautiful Marriott Marquis.

• And most importantly, being surrounded by so many women leading with vision and vulnerability in architecture.
