Kirstyn Bonneau – Juror for American School & University Interior Design Awards

Kirstyn Bonneau, Partner, was honored to serve as a juror for American School & University’s annual Educational Interior Design awards competition. The jury was comprised of Ms. Bonneau along with an architect from Michigan and two school administrators from Texas and Missouri respectively.

The jurors focused on:

  • Spaces designed for student wellness and well-being

  • Green spaces; use of sustainable materials

  • Natural ventilation

  • Material selection as related to controlling the spread of COVID-19

  • Security features integration

  • Durability and flexibility

  • Facilities that enhance equity

  • Easily-maintained facilities

  • Spaces that enhance mental health and connectiveness

  • Facilities that incorporate daylighting

  • Imaginative use of color

  • Spaces appropriate to the age groups they serve

  • Universal design

After careful deliberation of over 80 entries, seventeen projects were cited for their exceptional designs.
